I fuse over 15 year’s photography experience with film industry knowledge (and a love of HBO drama series) to create striking black & white and colour images. Think high-end fashion photography meets grainy magnum photojournalism!
Each wedding and portrait photography package is unique and will be priced according to duration, location and bespoke options. Please contact me to discuss your requirements and receive a tailored offer.
You’ll receive access to your wedding photographs within 3 weeks, and portrait photographs within 2 weeks.
Yes. I spend up to 3 days in post production with your wedding photographs and up to 2 days with portraits. Here, they’ll be colour corrected, appropriately edited and given their final look/style. Additionally, any blemishes or distractions are taken care of, for example.
To book me as your wedding or portrait photographer, either fill out the contact form, or call me on +49 177 7143977. In the case of weddings, once the contract has been signed, and deposit paid, I’ll be booked. This is not necessary for portraits.
Due to the high volume of bookings, I can only reserve a date for 48 hours.
Thomas Beetz Photography is located in Berlin, Germany. I also have a base in Munich, Germany, and Edinburgh, Scotland. I’ll happily travel internationally, if required!
I have a passion for travel, and would gladly photograph you in any worldwide location!
I use the most up-to-date equipment, to ensure the highest quality images. My kit bag includes: a Canon 5D Mark III, a Canon Mark II, Canon zoom lenses 70-200 mm, f2.8 ISM, Canon 24-70 mm 2.8, Canon 24-105 mm 4.0 ISM, a set of Carl Zeiss prime lenses, and a lot more…
I shoot in raw image format in order to have the most creative freedom and the highest possible precision in post production. This also ensures you’ll receive your images in the highest quality.
In the rare instance that all, or part, of my equipment fails, I carry backups of everything, including cameras, lenses, flashes, batteries, etc.
The copyright of all photographs belongs to Thomas Beetz Photography. However, you have the rights to use the images privately in any way you like, including making prints and posting them to online platforms like Facebook.

I create a striking collection of images that record your wedding, including portraits of the couple, group shots, and reportage of the day’s events. Before your wedding, I’ll also discuss your personal photography wants, including any specific shots. Drawing on experience, however, a long list of group shots is very time-consuming and directs focus away from the wedding couple portraits and general reportage of the day.
I can take the wedding couple portraits before or after the ceremony. Based on my experience, however, couples tend to be more relaxed once the knot has been tied!
I’ll take a mixture of staged and natural shots. Generally, I like to walk around the previously scouted locations with you. In addition to letting you take a breather from the wedding mayhem, this allows plenty of time for paparazzi shots and spontaneous creative moments!
The wedding couple portraits take between 1 and 2 hours, depending on the locations and, of course, the couple!
Creativity is the name of the photography game. By spending time before every wedding location scouting, I ensure there are a number of appropriate settings to photograph you and your guests, regardless of the weather.
All wedding photography images will be sent to you as jpegs in the highest resolution (22.3 megapixels) on a USB storage device, as well as being accessible in a password-protected online gallery.
Each wedding photography package includes at least 400 high resolution photographs. These will be sent to you on a high resolution USB storage device (22.3 megapixels), as well as being accessible in a password-protected online gallery.
You’ll receive access to your password protected online wedding gallery within 3 weeks. Friends and family may also order prints and access digital downloads. Within this time, I’ll also send out a USB storage device containing all images in the highest resolution (22.3 megapixels). A wedding album and prints, if ordered, will also take up to 4 weeks.
Short answer: It’s not!
In addition to taking the actual photographs, there’s a lot of behind the scenes work involved in wedding photography. I spend around 40 hours on each wedding, including liaising with couples, location scouting, taking photographs, post production, setting up an online gallery, etc.
A pre-wedding or engagement shoot is a great way for you to get to know me and my photography style before the main event. You can also explore in more detail the look you want for your wedding pictures. Furthermore, it’s helpful for couples with the wedding jitters to learn to relax in front of the camera, so they can focus on getting married and not on how they look. Plus it’s a great excuse to play dress up!
To accurately fulfil your wedding photography wants, I recommend meeting up before the event. This allows us to get to know one another, and establishes a good link for going forward. However, if it’s not possible, I’ll call you to discuss your requirements and tailor an appropriate wedding photography package.
I’ll do my best to ensure we meet before the big event. However, if it’s not possible, I’ll call you to discuss your needs and tailor a wedding photography package to your requirements.
Within Berlin ABC, travel is included in the wedding photography packages. Travel outwith this, including flights, trains, or diesel, will be added, as will any necessary overnight accommodation.
I’ve never yet missed a job. Saying that, if I were to fall ill, for example, I have a network of highly skilled wedding photographers, who would be able to cover for me.
